Ca Plane Pour Moi
How many of you are actually Mid Hants Railway Volunteers. I started MHR at the begining of the Summer Holidays.

Finally I,m back home after two long train journeys, a bus journey, a bath, clean the bath from ash and soot, dinner and make my bed I finally get to sit down.

Know how you feel karl, exept i got a lift home :hehe:

Soot and ash dust take ages to get out of your hair and know my dads car smells like ropley loco shed :D:D:D

Your lucky, I have to make my own way home. I can only come when the first train arrives at Alton and leave with the last train so my time is severly limited.

Not all hard work...

It's not all hard work, i got some photos (The first one I edited :) )
Used my phone for these:

I don't volunteer there, but I have been known to drop by with my camera when I'm in the area (which I should be again this Thursday afternoon...):

So far I haven't found out where the Peak and 27 are hiding (the only place I haven't looked so far is Alton...), but I'm sure I'll catch them eventually. :)

I think the peak is parked down ropley headshunt, but I don't know where the 27 is, anyone out ther care to enlighten us??

It didn't seem to be there the last couple of times I visited back in July, but no-one at the shed seemed to know where it was (other than "possibly Medstead", where I'd just come from).

Never mind...I'm sure I'll encounter them sooner or later!

I'll try and find out from the staff in ropley shed, i'm there on saurday.

Thanks! I'm likely to be in the area on Thursday, so I'll have a look around anyway...and see how they're getting on with the 9F. :)

I think the 27 is at Aylesford shoved at the back of siding.

Thanks for that. Do you mean Alresford? The only Aylesford I know of is in Kent. I've already looked in Alresford, so if its in a siding there it must be right down the end where the rest of us mortals can't find it. ;)

45132 (the Peak) was formally at the headshunt, I know, because I worked on it! Its now right down the bottom of the headshunt at Alresford, you'll need a PTS to get to it.
27007 which came to greif is now right next to the Peak. They are only meant to be there for what is rumored to be 6 months, its only so they have more room at Ropley to deal with the new boiler shop work.

Thanks for that info WEN. Guess I'll come back and look for them again in 6 months then! ;)

I should still be dropping by Ropley tomorrow afternoon though - if nothing else I'd like to see how the 9F is getting along. :)

I should also be up at Shillingstone for the meeting on the 19th, if anyone is following the S&D project.
