I have just spent the past couple of weeks using msts. For the first time in 6+years.
Yes the relearning was interesting.
The one thing that I found amazing is the amount of rolling stock available.
I mainly got my content from one site. train-sim.com
The biggest diffrence (outside of the game) between msts and TRS is downloading third party freeware content. For example if I download a loco then I need to open that file find the readme and see what other files I might need to download.
As for the game itself (Both a plus and minus) THE absolute biggest difference is the fact that I cannot EASILY change the route.
(I do remember trying to use the built in editor, lasting impression is after 6+ years I STILL wont go back.)
I really do like the fact that I can just pick out which loco and consist to run pick the start spot and go.
Well that is my take on MSTS.
Will I switch permanently? No
Why? Too much time (and quite frankly money ) invested in auran.
