As overlapping is not possible, I would like to find a method to prepare my future routes, in order to get them connected ( merged ) in the easiest way.
If you have an 'overlap' all you can do is delete boards from one or both routes till you get close to a common edge. Depending on what method was used to create the routes you may or may not get a 'seamless' join. If HOG was used the join will be a mismatch and will need tidying up. I believe it is possible to arrange a seamless join in TransDEM so if that utility was used you might get a clean join...

I am actually a Transdem-user. I wanted to create the complete Belgian railwayroute in a realistic way . However, Trainz doesn't allow me to create the route in a single approach. If I'm lucky I will probably be able to make a route by province ( 10 in total ) and then merge them together ( if Trainz permits me to do it ).
