merging routes

I hope I'm on the right place here.
I try to merge two routes together in trs2009. Those routes are big. In 2006 I had no problems but now in 2009.
The second route appears on an other spot then the spot I indicated on the first route. When I try to move the vew to the right spot I can only move the routes over a small distance. The second route I can move as far as I like and turn the route (just like it was in 2006). But because of the fact that the first route wan not be oved enough I never get the right spot o merge in the screen. So till now I was unable to merge my two parts.
I hope this explanation is clair enough to get some help.
Do I something wrong or is this still a bug in trs2009.

Thanks John. Although it seems to be complicated for me (and my own language is not english makes it more difficult) I'll try to manage tomorrow. I will keep you informed.
I suppose I was on the wrong place here.
What BUMP means in a thread?
I make my maps with mapmaker is this a problem?

It is quite easy Marc, the reason for the blank map is that the first merge has the problem, a second merge works ok.
So by using a blank map in the first merge that does not have to be aligned (in fact you most not let it touch the other maps!) you can then make the proper merge on the 2nd go. Don't forget that you can delete the blank map when the merges are completed. John.

Auran are aware of this issue and are working on it, wait for Service Pack 2.
