Merging routes, where is it?

I am using 2010EE and trying to merge two "modules" I had cut from a larger route I am no longer using. I am trying to merge these together but when the merge route map comes up, I can't see where the second route is at. I can go ahead and merge them, and the second route ends up far away and isolated... I guess my question is, how am I supposed to use the arrows to move the routes together if I can't see which direction it needs to go (can't zoom out far enough)? Why is trainz placing the route so far away? Is there something in the config that can be changed? Never had this problem before. thanks.

I believe you have to more the routes together by using the arrow keys situated to the right of a space bar. then you simple move one route up and down, left to right until you have joined them in the position you wish.

If you zoom right back you can usually see both routes in the screen. This will give you and idea which way to mve to bring them closer together.

I cant see the route or zoom out nearly far enough to find it....its waaaaaaaay off somewhere so I don't know which direction to move it to bring it into view
