Membership options and ramifications?

I am a Gold Class Trainz Plus TRS22 member, and traditionally I have created Routes and Sessions. Given all the benefits that I have available to me based on my membership, am I going to be producing Routes and Sessions in TRS22 that will have shortfalls for "regular" TRS22 members? In anticipation of an official direction ... many thanks. Colin.

All "TRS22" will work. Gold/Silver/Plus assets should work fine with a regular "retail" version (I think what N3V is calling it now). It the "trainz build" number that determines such. The "Build" number shown in Content Manager, not the six digit "build" you see on each beta release.

Your response was appreciated but I think you missed my point. I have no problems with Build Versions because, with TRS22 being the latest version, everything up to (currently) 5.1 is expected to be fine. My concern is my understanding that my Gold Plus membership entitles me to much more than a regular TRS22 membership. So to rephrase my concern ......... If I create Routes and Sessions using all that is available to me from my Gold Plus membership, will users who not have Gold Plus memberships be confronted with shortfalls (e.g. unavailable assets)? Again .... many thanks for your earlier response. Regards. Colin.

I don't think anything will be completely unavailable, but users might have to buy additional payware to get all the assets needed for your route.

Using the new content store means you don't have to install all the payware you own. Therefore you could create a separate install on your PC with no payware installed and use that for route building. I think that way anything you make should work for everyone.

Many thanks. I think I will create a basic TRS22 install on a separate pc, and then use that as a test bed prior to uploading to DLS. Regards. Colin.

What edh6 says has always been the case since TANE when some people made routes with the Deluxe pack while other only had the regular version. The Deluxe version came with extra routes that regular TANE did not.

It's too bad that there wasn't a place-holder type system for this instead. With ARMA 3, for example, if you don't own some DLC used in one of the maps or scenarios, you'll receive a download of the assets, but the assets are not available for use outside of that particular map and are basically read-only with no interaction with them. The purpose of these is to remove the missing dependencies from the map and or scenario and allow the scenario to be played.
