MBTA content?

Hi Ellen,

Yes there is some equipment on the DLS.

Do a search for MBTA. There are Horizon cars and the F unit. There are also some older Buddliners as well lettered for the B&M, New Haven, and NYC. Running a string of Budd cars behind the F-unit is awesome. This brings me back to the 1980s and early 1990s. :)

If you want payware, check out Jointed Rail. Justin and company have some awesome-looking F40PHs. They're pretty inexpensive and run very nice.

There are also some older LRVs which need fixing, but they look and work okay, and there are some PCC trolleys as well, which can be reskinned to the T paint if you want.

John from Haverhill on the Ts Haverhill line.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I was wondering if you could post the DLS links of the content you suggested. I'm having a tough time finding content.
-Thanks

Ellen,

Go here http://www.auran.com/TRS2004/DLS.php

Check all the boxes for all versions because some of the content is made for versions prior to TRS2010 and TS12

Search for Horizon under category rolling-stock.
Search for Budd under the same.
Search for MBTA under locomotives
Search for LRV sorry had a brain fart and can't remember what category I chose here!

There is tons of stuff that can be reskinned. The newer LRVs are really nice and will substitute for the new Breda Type 8s we have now.

Hope this helps.

John

You can use Gimp (free) or payware products such as PaintShop Pro or PhotoShop.

Trainz assets are textured with TGA files, which makes reskinning a breeze compared to other programs that use a proprietary format. Just remember when saving your files, that you save your TGA files uncompressed otherwise there will be errors.
