MBDM, Branch Line

G'Day Everyone.

This is a little project i have been working on recently, its a small fictional switching/short line which will feature CSXT. Its nothing flash at the moment with alot of bare baseboards but it is coming along nicely.. It will feature multiple industries, a large dock along with plenty of spurs to switch.

please leave your thoughts with me and ill get some more screen shots up soon, and some further plans for the route. I like to consider my self as junior route builder,
that pays a lot of attention to detail as this is the only my second route to make it out into the open as i am very fussy :hehe:.. - ill leave that for you decide. :)

Sorry for this irregular size, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Dan :)

Landscape in the first two shots looks really nice / real.

Nothing wrong with the size of the screenies. I think it helps make the wide shots look more interesting.

Looks like a heck of a good start!

Thanks fro the comments guys, i really appreciat it :)..

One for today, HLCX SW1500 1515 rolling through the motions on an early summer morning with a short Freight heading for local business along the 'Brighton Spur', while passing a track gang preparing for a Days work.

Cheers Dan

G'Day all...

Track work has been completed, & over half of the signaling work is complete while i will be focusing more on scenery and terrain features as the track work is now complete. The total baseboard count was 356, which was well over my expected number when i first began.

Then main freight which will be seen on this route will be.. In order

-Coal
-Grain
-Tank commodities
-Double stacks & TOFC's

Coal Drags will be hauled over a 1.89% grade to the coal fields and back to the Main yard for transfer to the Union Pacific.
Tank commodities (fuel) will also be hauled over the 1.89% grade to the coal fields to the drop off point for the coal industry after the Consist are picked up from the UP transfer for the early morning run.
Grain is a big player on this route which is collected at the Grain depot which is up one of the challenging spurs (which will involve a fair 'wak' of switching to reach the Grain depot). After reaching the Grain depot & filling the consist it will involve more switching to get back off the spur onto the main where the hoppers will than be transported to the (small port) for unloading onto ships.
Double stacks & TOFC's are often seen on the large Port, were there are literally 1000's of containers, after loading at the port they will be transported to the main yard for a crew change.
Locals are often seen on the line with General goods from the local businesses which are often shunting on the spurs.

Hope to get some more pics up in the coming days. Any thoughts would be great
Cheers Dan

I like your shots, and think you're doing well with the scenery, but you really ought to pull those poor people out of the cement!;)

Looking great so far! Can't wait to see more screenshots when they get posted.
