I heard on the news yesterday,that a man who was 55-years old was hit by a csx freight train and died,I don't know the rest but the area in virginia where this tragic accident happened is industrial and its residents are very familiar with trains,it was so bad that even the amtrak trains that were running that day were stopped because of this!

That's a real shame. It's terrible that reports and news stories of people getting killed by trains. I hope the best is well with the train crew, and hope that the nearby community can learn to look, listen, and live.

^ He thought the old bridge with rusty rails wasn't in use anymore. So he decided to just have a look around it by crossing it. About midway through he heard a train horn, got scared and started filming.

The man was an employee of CSX. My condolences to his family, friends and his co-workers.

I read an article about a woman who was struck and killed by SEPTA's R5 train a few days ago in Philadelphia. Apparently, her dog came off his leash and started to run across the tracks. She chased after him, stepping right into the path of the R5. She was killed instantly. The dog was uninjured. What a terrible thought; my condolences to her family and the family of the CSX employee mentioned here.

well,Maybe this should serve as a grim reminder on what can happen when a simple mistake involves trains and people who do and do not work on them,but live around them!
