MacOS 26 without Sound in Trainz 22 (SOLVED)

MacOS 26 was released today!

After installing it, I no longer have any sound in Trainz 2022. The strange thing is that the sound works in all the other games I usually play.
Is this bug already known?

Like other software titles, games & simulators, you may end up having to rollback to previous O/S. I did this to avoid DirectX errors on something else, which put the brakes on a lot of other titles for a lot of other users. Maybe open a support ticket, and rollback until you hear back from support.

Can confirm, no sound in Tahoe here either. My Mac isn't my main Trainz system yet, but I guess I should've checked the forums first.

Is sound the only issue? I am wondering whether to upgrade, but can wait if there are issues. Sound isn't the most critical for me at the moment.
No other issues that I can find. Just the sound. If losing sound is a dealbreaker, then wait for a fix. If not, it should be safe to go for it.

I don't know if this is the same thing, but I have found that if sound on the PC (or Mac?) is for any reason disrupted while Trainz is active, Trainz will not get it back. I have to close completely out of Trainz and come back again to have sound. I found this out when using an LG driver for sound into headphones plugged into the back of an LG monitor. Sometimes Windows would kind of drop that as an output source, and I would have to get it back as a device. Now I have the same problem plugging into USB with ARCTIS 3 headphones. Sometimes Windows just seems to fail to notice they are there.

24H2 handles it differently than 23H2 and lower. I do know that much. Probably a similar scenario for the Mac OS 26, now it handles it differently, too.

Dunno. It used to be something peculiar to Trainz. Other apps would pick up the sound if sound was back working. Trainz would not. It was like it never checked/connected again. As pertaining to the headphones, I am still getting the same results in 24H2. I was away for over a week with the PC powered off, and when I booted it up this morning, I had to work to get the Arctis headphones recognized again on the USB port. If I remember, I was using the headphones in the LG monitor port and using the LG driver under 23h2, but time fades, so I can't confirm.

May need an update for Trainz then, as the problem I had with sound on 24H2 for a certain title got fixed by an update by the software developer. Again, we need to know what specs are for the system used by the developers of Trainz products, so we can have a decent baseline to compare to.

Disabling File Vault has not brought sound back for my installation. Disabled File Vault, Restarted, still no sound. completely removed Trainz22+. Reinstalled.
Still nothing. This has not been solved yet for OS 26.

is the hardware @samsara66 has for running it the same as yours, maybe compare and see what is that difference
