Lumber Mill and Forestry

Hi All,

I'm a newbie, just starting out with TRS2009. I would like to animate loading logs from the Forestry object, unloading them at Lumber Mill and loading boards from Lumber Mill. My problem is I can't find rolling stock that works with these objects.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

If it involves using Download Station, please be as specific as possible because I haven't used it yet.

try the default bnsf flatcar, that should carry both. hope this helps!

the only way i know is to click on the ? in the train section in surveyor and then click on a train car or engine and it will list the products that the car can handle.

General methods using CMP:
For rolling stock and industries, right click them and select View Dependencies to find what products they can handle.
For commodities, right click them and select View Dependent Assets to see what industries produce/consume them or what rolling stock can carry them.

Use industries and rolling stock marked with the IND green tick. (This is a slight over-simplification as there are other industry systems available.)

In previous versions of Trainz there's a flowchart in the manual which shows the relationships between industries and products. In most cases the choice of rolling stock to carry each product is fairly obvious.

In Trainz passengers are products, with stations as their industries.
