Low Poly City?

I have a layout I've been working on for some time that includes a passenger terminal at one end in a big city (all fictional). I have a freight line that wraps around the other side of the city. I want to fill the space in between with buildings so it looks like a large city should. I've been placing individual buildings, but it gets tedious. I know there are "blocks" of buildings, but they tend to be smaller (shorter) than I'm looking for. I would also like at least some night mode function if possible. I am aware of the "low city" asset that is a bunch of buildings, but that's not really what I want either, though that's the idea - a buch of buildings that can allow me to lay a large neighborhood at a time where detail isn't critical being far enough from the tracks.

So what I am asking is for recommendations for tall city buildings, preferably in blocks or groups, and something that is low enough poly that it won't degrade performance even if I have a bunch of them. I have done some searches and while I find plenty of individual buildings, I don't see groups. I can't believe I'm the only person who could use this kind of time-saver!

Thanks for any suggestions and help!

There are well over 552 backdrops (most of them silly looking) such as the built into TRS2006 Backdrop Towers 1, and 2

Thanks. I will check out dmdrake's work.

I'm not looking for backdrops. I want something that fills the space between tracks, so I need the dimension.

The assets mentioned above will work. These are the Cityscape series by Dave Drake (dmdrake). These are actually pseudo-3d meaning many of them are low-poly cubes, but textured nicely with building photos. Many of them are missing low floors, but this is okay if you're using them for filler as this is what they are intended for.

Consider this: If you can find enough individual buildings to meet your needs, you can make your own groups, just by using the copy/paste tools.

Also remember you can rotate the paste by 90 degrees each way.
