Lost my map

Could I have some help please? I clicked to save then to close the surveyor and something went wrong, it shut down very quick and now when I click on my map in surveyor it says that I have not selected a map and to try again so it seems as if I could have lost my map. Is there anything I can do, its trz2006 BTW.
Thanks
Len

Hi,
I had a similar thing happen in ts2009 a week ago . Whilst I am not sure I can help find the lost map , try looking in cmp under the title(of the route) , a couple of times my trainz system has save under wrong Kuid , I realise that sometimes the software does do strange things and some time your work can be lost . What I worked out is It is best to save your routes and sessions, by exporting to CDP package when you end your sessions, by entering content manager and rmb on the item(highlight) and select ,export to cdp. Once you have done this you have a backup of your files.. If in the even of you loosing your work totally you can always reinstall the cdp and bring your files back at the point they were saved. This may be of no help now but it will help in the future. Each time I end an editing session I backup my work in this way, You could clone each Route and session and save to different names and keep as actual backup rather than working files. This can also be done by saving the route and session as a different name. As for finding the lost map try searching the disk using the route-session name, although mine was gone, I found an earlier version of the map and cut my losses, re doing what I had lost. I am not shure but I think that some times the route-map may contain errors(of some kind) and the will not appear in the surveyor or driver menus, but do appear in the Content manager with faults or are simply still open for edit(not committed)
As I am no expert and not familiar with trs2006 ,I can only hope this info helps...
