Loss of Passenger View in 2009

Having always been a great fan of Auran Trainz I have bought every version since 2004. In the last couple of days I have bought 2009 and I have to say it is the first time I have been disappointed with an Auran product.

What's happened to the passenger view from the carriages which has always been one of my favorite items in trainz. After a hard day at work or a period of route building it's always been nice to sit back and relax as you travel along your favorite route. And yet it has just disappeared.

Speaking for myself I have to say that there does not seem to be much new in 2009 to compensate for the loss of the passenger view. So after a few days trial I've returned to my favorite TRAINS CLASSIC 3. For me by far the best and 2009 will have to come a long way before I change my views

I just used an interior view in a piece of TC1&2 content in 2009; are you sure the interior view is not working? What piece of content are you trying to use?

Interior view in 09

The BR Mk 1 and 2 carriages have passenger views in 09 and working with AJS
I have them working with AJS stations very well
I know that the old BR Mk 1 & 2 carriages are a bit dated and to be abble to use more modern carriages would be great, but give our excellent content makers time, 09 is still in build, I dont have 04 but I am sure some of the working content could be made available for 09

Hi Everybody.
Thank you for the replies and I apologize for the delay in getting back (decorating Main bedroom). But at least now I know that the passenger view should be working.

The assets i used where the Mark one carriages which are in the CMP on download. I would not have Thought that they were any different to the Mark one carriages in TC3 which work perfectly. That makes me think that there could be a problem in the program so perhaps a complete reinstall would do the trick. I have not added anything to the original download program so that would be no problem at this time.

I will hang on to see if anyone has any better suggestions or if anyone feels there is an easier solution. Anyway many thanks again for the replies and give me further feedback if you have any.

I don't think a reinstall is warranted at this time. As said above, it's the content that controls the view, and different versions of content could have different scripting, attachments points or built in camera views (or not), that would affect performance.

What is the exact kuid of the item you downloaded. If you compare the Kuid from the DLS to that found in TC3 you will likely see different versions or even completely different kuids. Most TC3 content is not available from the DLS but many new versions are available on the trainz classics web site. See the trainz classics forum for the latest updates.
