Looking for user magicland

The first three are easy. Go to the content manager and select the car that's causing the problems. Right click on it and select 'edit' and then select 'edit in explorer'. An icon that looks like a black hammer and wrench cross will appear. This means that the object is 'open for edit'. You can find all content that's open for editing by selecting the 'Open for Edit' tab.
When you select 'edit in explorer', a file will pop up. This contains all the things needed in order for an object to be available for use. Select 'config.txt'. When you open the 'configuration file', better known as 'config file', scroll through it and find the Tags that are causing the problem. Simply select them and delete them. Save the changes to the config file and then exit out of the config file and the file that popped up. Left click on the object, select 'edit' and then select 'commit'. This will solve your problems.

P.S. I selected 'SP Daylight Chair car', made by magicland with the kuid <kuid:58843:107>, right clicked and selected 'View Errors and Warnings', and the last two errors you listed showed up as warnings instead of errors. I don't think I mentioned this, but when you select 'View Errors and Warnings', at the top it'll say 'Validating', then changes to 'x errors and x warnings' (I'm using 'x' to represent a number). Remember: Errors show up as a red circle with a white 'x' in it, while warnings show up as a yellow triangle with a black '!' in it.

Actually these errors are easy to fix.

As you said open up the config.txt file using the method above.

Find this line and put in a space or spaces after the 0 and after the 2

Error: The Tag '0-<kuid:58843:50020>' .....

0 <kuid:58843:50020>

Tag '2-<kuid:-10:149>

2 <kuid:-10:149>

I didn't know that. I thought that the only way to get rid of the error was just deleting them. Apparently there's more than one way to solve the problem.

Just two more questions. How do I fix this: Error: Unable to load primary texture 'spd_bag_chair_shadow/roof1.tga' for texture file 'spd_bag_chair_shadow/roof1.texture.txt'.
and this: Error: Binary conversion failed for texture resource 'spd_bag_chair_shadow/roof1.texture.txt'.
?????

Good luck trying to get in contact with magicland. I know someone who has been waiting for months for a reply, to both PMs in Trainz and to emails, over some cars he has reskinned and wanting to upload to DLS. Still no answer...

I don't know if he will ever respond, his content is not even available on his web site anymore. So I assume he has left the building for good.

Hello:
Have you contacted Auran and explained the problem.
Maybe if you have used all available means to contact the author
and its been some time sense anyone has heard from it
would be ok to upload.

Gerry

Me bad, his assets are still available on his web site I was trying to download them on a computer that Trainz was not installed on and it requires CM.

I can try contacting N3V and see where it goes.

This must be the case of an old content creator from the early days of Trainz just dropping off the face of the earth. Most of his coaches were plain anyway, with no interiors. Except the streamlined coaches, which have interiors but no camera view. He never even released the SEPTA Silverliners with the rounded windows, those must have become vaporware. There are better coaches out there by various creators, like the Reading, New Haven coaches by PWeiser, Pullman coaches by whitepass, I have 9 of them under my username repainted/relettered for the Reading, Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad, they have interiors but no camera, the Lehigh Gorge blue coaches based from Reading Blueliners by PWeiser were my suggestion, as well as the other Reading Blueliner coaches powered and unpowered versions. He made them at my request. Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway is a tourist train in Jim Thorpe, PA which is part of the Reading and Northern Railroad who also owns 9 maroon ex-EL steel open window coaches for excursion service, the pullman coach by whitepass I made the 9 Reading, Blue Mountain and Northern coaches from and uploaded to DLS with his permission. They look very close, although I think the Trainz versions are a bit longer than the real coaches by several feet. RBMN coaches have 20 windows on each side, the Trainz coaches have 22 windows each side, including the restrooms, RBMN coaches only have restrooms at one end, Trainz versions have restrooms at both ends. No biggie, they look close enough to RBMN coaches to pass. I also replaced the three axle trucks with height modified ones by kilanziom released under my ID for US style older steel heavyweight coaches with friction bearing trucks that have the square journal boxes at the ends of the axles.

The unfortunate part of that is I am looking for Pennsy stuff, he has baggage, RPO etc... I use the P70 from K&L Trainz but they are not on the DLC so I cannot use them in multi player.

Thank you everyone for the great advice. I was able to get all of Magicland's SP Daylight coaches working in TS2012. I will go to DLS and check out your content and the other content you have suggested as well. One can never have enough rolling stock.

There is an on going asset repair project by Auran to try and get these sort of assets fixed by their original creators.

I know this because I've gotten an email requesting I fix a few of mine.

Basically Auran gives the content creator eight (8) weeks to fix the problem themselves and if they don't Auran will open it up for anyone else to have a go.

If the asset is not fixed by either its original creator or someone else within a reasonable time-frame then Auran will DELETE it from the DLS.

I would guess that Auran is sending out emails to magicland (that is if his email address is still valid) asking him to fix his stuff.

Since this process has only recently started, it will be probably July before magicland's assets are opened up for others to take a crack at them.

Tom
