Looking for Trainzmap

I remember with Sp1 for TRS2006 patched, the original trainzutil file in the TRS2006 folder, had to be manually exchanged for one that Maurizio created.

I just tried it for 2010. Couldn't ever get it to work correctly. I don't really want to spend the next two days trying to figure it out.

The read me file doesn't really say much. It really needs better installation instructions.

I tried Trainzmap on Neuman's NEC route, and it swapped out some single track, but would not replace multitrack splines ... where it did replace tracks, also the catenary gantrys were deleted ... HaaHaa ! AHHHHHHH !

As Geophil says, most software developers (including myself) have given up trying to interpret the new features (and new files) that have arrived with 2010 and above. N3V refuses to discuss file formats so progress is now at a standstill. I think what bothers me the most is this: if N3V isn't going to release anything about their new file formats, then why can't THEY produce some sort of external map creation utility? All it would take is the code for producing the mini-map but expand it to include your entire route.

HiBaller..Hear Hear! You would think that N3V would do this. Trainzmap is a sorely needed tool in developing and interpreting the dynamics of route building.

Maps Problems all over

there is a similar thread open in TRAINZ COMMUNITY and most cannot get the maps working. The developers should really provide some assistance as a number of users find the printing of maps very useful!
