Looking for the right computer

So im looking for a new computer that i can play on but not looking to spend over $700 on and was looking for some suggestions, also my computer is from 2011 how do i see what the specs are and if this one would work if i just bought a video card?

Consider buying a Windows OS desktop ... easier to retrofit, clean, and repair than a laptop ... most full size tower desktops have better video cards, than most laptops

I have a windows desktop i believe windows 8 its an asus how do i check the specs to see if i should get a video card? i have all my settings set to low and i still lag a little bit im also using direct x i found that one works a bit better.

Run belarc on your existing system from belarc.com. Windows will cost you $100 so if you can upgrade the existing system it will probably be cheaper. Tomshardware.com http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html can you you some comparisons so you can see what you have oat the moment etc. One thing to watch out for is the power supply lower end machines tend to have power supplies that are limited. I assume its a desktop machine.
