Looking for Good Steam

Hey, guys. I came across Paulz Trainz the other day and I'm interested in buying a loco or two to try them out and I was wondering. The pictures on the site look like they're from TS2004 or TS2006. I have TS12 and a ton of JR, USLW, and a few RRMods Locos. All of them look about the same in terms of quality and detail. How do the locos from Paulz Trainz measure up? I noticed that he asks for the Trainz version the loco will be running on when you order, which makes me think he has updated ones for TS12. I just want to make sure they will be a good compliment to my Diesel Fleet, and the Blue Comet and T1 I got off the Auran Site.

Yes PaulzTrainz is a good site for steam locos and historic coaches etc. I have a few and am well pleased.

He does send the correct version of his stock depending on which Trainz you specify, but you can update from 2009/10 to TS12 with a few edits in the config file. Then again, why bother if you don't have to? Just that you can make the same purchase work in both your versions - you don't havte to buy twice.

Also, check out http://www.gplocomotives.com/ for legacy British (BR, LMS, GWR) steam - these are also very good, and a different selection to Paulz.

What I did was place a small order with each, try them out for satisfaction and then got the others I wanted with confidence that I was not wasting my money.

In short, I have been pleased with the quality (no, I am not on commission). Anyway, good luck, hope you like them.

Thanks. I'll get one and see how I like it. Now I just gotta decide between the Triplex or another big one. Thanks for the reply.

So I bought a Yellowstone from Paulz Trainz. I like it. It could use some polishing on the details, but it still is a nice locomotive. If I ever get around to it, I might go polish up the details a bit myself. I'm getting a few more to add to the freeware steamers I already have.

While I may not have the best choice of words, I don't make smart remarks or nit-pick to try to make others mad.

Not trying to make you mad, just informing you of the "error of your ways".

Please be more thoughtful when posting.

If it "makes you mad" to be politely informed of your shortcomings, then I
suggest you take an 'Anger management' course. :o
