Looking for Chicago commuter MU's

Hi all,

I'm working on a route based around the Chicago area in the 50's-60's and am trying to locate some multiple unit cars which could be reskinned for use as Illinois Central and/or Chicago, South Shore & South Bend electrics with pantographs. I've gone through all of the IC rolling stock on the DLS as well as seaching for mu, multiple unit, south shore (there are some modern models but nothing from that time period), even Lackawanna, etc. The closest I've found is one Pennsylvania item (PRR P54 passenger coach, KUID 2:204652:100416:2) but it doesn't seem to include pantographs. Anyone have any suggestions?

If the TPR FTP server is up and running, you can check there. Paul Weiser (pweiser) created many heavyweight type EMUs that are similar to what you are looking for and include working pantographs.

He has some from the New Haven which are similar to the early Comet and Horizon type cars as well as Electroliners which would have been on the CA&E.
