Looking for a Tram...

Hi,
I have been looking for a tram, not one in particular but I just want something that was built in the 1970s-80s, with square ends, and preferably easy to reskin. Something sort of like this:

Is there anything on European sites similar to this?

Thanks, but I already have those. I was really looking for a single deck tram in that kind of style, not necessarily a Blackpool one.

There is a Glasgow single-decker but there again not in the same vein as it is from a slightly earlier time but used right up to just before the system closed in 1962.

LOL it's funny to look at this i guess thats one way to reuse a old bus LOL

I don't think this came from using an old bus as it is similar in appearance to the LN railcars which were tried on BR. These were built by Leyland National using the same design as their single deck 'buses.

I believe this was (is) a Blackpool 'Centenary' tram, introduced in 1985.

I'm not disputing this as I'm not familiar with Australian trams. But it is unusual for the UK, too - probably experimental, as were the similar railcars, and probably an attempt to save money by using existing designs/parts/etc - worthwhile I suggest if it kept trams on the streets instead of doing away with them altogether, as my fine city did in 1935! And yes, I can just remember seeing them.

Most modern UK trams (Sheffield, Nottingham, etc.) are of a fairly general streamlined pattern.

The same as here, Boomer. Our trolleys (trams) look like, well, trolleys and not buses. I agree this is definitely a way to reuse existing parts in inventory. Unfortunately not everyone had that idea and many of our lines disappeared over here. It looks like the dog is doing his part though to contribute to the infrastructure!

That is actually quite a smart looking design compared to a some of the other designs tried during the 80's/90's at Blackpool and at least it's not spoiled by all over advertising livery. Recently the "Flexity" trams have taken over at Blackpool which don't look too bad but it has made the system more akin to light rail than tramway. I wouldn't mind seeing a Flexity for TS12, might encourage me to start a Blackpool route (given I've built it in both MSTS and RW).

I'm not sure whether all of Mike Whiteley's trams work in the latest editions of Trainz and unfortunately I believe he now creates exclusively for Railworks.
