Looking for a steam route

Hello All,

I'm a newbie to Trainz having migrated here from RailWorks.

I am running TRS2009.

I would like some suggestions for North American routes that are set up for
steam engine operation with the appropriate engine service areas, etc.

I have tried searching for one but no good results so far.

Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

All are set up with steam and diesel locomotive facilities. If you intend using them, though, remember to configure them to produce coal, water, sand, ... .

I think you will need TS2010EE for these two.
There specific to that version, I am not sure but I don't think there on the DLS.:(
But the good news is that it's worth the upgrade for the routes alone.:D

Hi Jonathan --

"I think you will need TS2010EE for these two."

Well, yes and no.

Those two routes do come built into TS2010.

But the versions on the DLS were made in TRS2004 and work with 04, 06, and 09. There are even versions of PO&N and Riverside specifically for TC3 (search the TC forum for a download link).

Once Auran sorts out the track and SpeedTree issues (if in fact they ever do) I have a TRS2004 version of the routes that are in TS2010 that I'll put on the Download Station.

Please elaborate on the configuration needed, and how (for another newbie).
Thx

Go into Surveyor and move round until you find the locomotive refueling track you want to configure - it will be recognizable by the red arrows.

Click on the "Objects" flyout, click on the "?" and then on the loco track.

A new window opens. You will find that "Rate" and "Initial" are set at 0. Set the initial amount and production rate of, eg, water to the max by clicking on the 0 and when the new window opens pressing "1" continuously. Save.

Good info to have.

A followup question: why wouldn't that be configuration be a part of the route setup by default? Some reason to not have it setup already?
