Look what rolled off the Assembly line....

Klinger

The Chicago CTA guy
At the South Denver Locomotive Works facility, we find Amtrak 206 doing some switching, moving some of the latest locomotives out of the assembly plant, and into the sun for the first time.

A few bugs to work out, but overall, in excellent beta form. No engine spec yet, prime movers have yet to be fired up, and the steam generators still needs some testing before they hit the road.

Anyone able to help me with scripting?

Man, I was just thinking of this locomotive today. I would love to help, but I can't because you see your F40PH? I did this to mine:

No corona's, no bogies. :o Hey, I was just trying to get some ditchlights!

Cheers,
Joshua

You could always delete it and redownoad. Its hard to modify an existing locomotive without the mesh files

While I wouldn't have put it like Evan123 did, I do think the textures could use some more detailing, as well as weathering. I don't know if you're planning on that or not, but like I said I'd be glad to do it. Also, is there a possibility of a Santa Fe skin?

Most fine-level detailing and weathering will go on once the model is completed (things can still change). When I last had my hands on the texture files there were still areas that needed better mapping and such.

And if you really don't think the model is going to look good and still want one, then you can create your own.

There's a Santa Fe FP45 on the DLS by Tume if you want one. It's in both Billboard and Warbonnet schemes.

I didn't say it isn't going to look good, I was saying that it has potential, but isn't there yet. I didn't know how close you were to finishing it.

IsaacG- I have them, but this is a SDP40F.

Looks like a piece of card board.

Fine. I won't be releasing this locomotive. Sorry to have wasted my time building MY locomotive to MY liking

Its not even done yet

The cars are actually a mix. The baggage is Corey's, the sleepers are from Magiclands Payware pack, as is the Amfleet lounge (only dining car I have right now) the coaches are a mix of Amtrak Payware pack, and freeware on the DLS

Other then the Amfleet, the train represents Amtrak in the mid 1970's when the SDP's were in service, car's often carried mixed paint schemes since they were all hand-me-downs

Evan,
... That was so unnecessary, it's pure ignorance. Still, you can be a nice guy, but it seems only when you want to be.

Klinger,
Look, the locomotive is amazing. I'd like to show you that only evan123 sad the negative comment. Look at the massive amounts of compliments, encouragement, even from me. I will always back you. I'd love the see this baby done. I know I love to see others enjoying my work, I assume you do too. It's hard for that to happen, if they can't see the masterpiece in it's glory.

Keep at it!

Cheers,
Joshua

A little off task, but may I ask, are those the heritage cars on AGZ in the backround, or are those someone else's? The loco looks great, btw.

First off don't quote all the pics.

2nd. I want to know what route that is.
