Locomotives on and off

HI there,

I opperate one of my routes much like a model railroad (the Highland route is my favorite)... I have many different locomotives on the line, and am curious what is the keyboard command to shut engines down (so I don't have to listen to them all ideling at the same time)... or... how do I start them up again?

I am not aware of anyway to shut them off.
