Locomotive eras, Junction Question.

Bit of a two part here, been trying to do the research myself and well, i've not done very well.

Got some questions that I hope the community can help me out with.

1.) What is the earliest date a GP 38 or similar unit would be found?
2.) Anyone know of a "Southern" Gp unit on the DLS? Not NS mind you. I've got one already.
3.) I need a list of railroads that Southern might interchange with.

I'll post pics of the reason I'm asking this, oh and I've one more question.

4.) I need a good, Southern (Mississippi, Alabama, or Georgia area) sounding route name.

GP38's were produced from 1966 to the end of 1971. I am fairly sure there is a Southern GP out there for Trainz.

I think I picked that one up. I'm working with a series of photo modules I created for various reasons. While they were originally set in the time of steam, they could look quite perfectly like any deep Georgia or Mississippi delta areas.

I'm slowly working on linking them together, just to see what I come up with.

I just checked the DLS, and there are a number of other Southern GP and SD type locomotives there, ranging from GP38s to SD40s and a couple of high-hood GP50s.

Just look for "Southern."
