Loco refuses to move

Get over it
Double header freight consist. Drive to a industry and load, AI controlled. Half way through the loading process the loco refuses to move. The engine revs up, the sound increases but it won't budge. All the switches are aligned properly. Stop train. Try to drive manually. Same thing as with the AI. Can't go forward or reverse. Without the freight cars there is no problem. With more than six cars the problem occurs. Any ideas or suggestions?

Check the total weight of the train.I have had cases where wagons had ridiculous weights, wit 6 cars coming in at 5000 ton.
Another problem is I have found that locos will stall on some curves (not always tight ones) .The only way to get them to move is couple another loco to push.
cheers,
Mike

You answered the problem: Drove to MIN to load. I bet that the MIN has a commodity that shows "None" on one of the cues. Just to be sure, drive an empty car and loco manually over the MIN track and see what happens. Of course, try Mikeaust suggestions just in case...

I had that problem too once before. I've also found that someone had "updated' an engine spec for some of the Alco RS3s and that caused undue problems making them non-movers overall.

Thanks everyone for replying. Since I was perplexed I changed the MIN, replaced the two locos and now it seems to be working ok. I'm not sure if the previous MIN was faulty but I did check the two original locos for their engine specs and they checked out ok. I've been with Trainz a long time so when something like this happens and I get it fixed I move along. No sense worrying about what caused it, life's too short and I got a game to play. Thanks again.

pware - since you mentioned it I tried to use it under my name but it's too many letters. Thanks for the thought.

Pop Pop: I've had the same problem and who knows, a little gremlin sneaks in..I'm like you, find the problem and move on..It reminds me a lot about Model Railroading in that respect, Gremlin's..
