My list of things the next version of Trainz should "fix" or incorporate:
1. Sun rise & set behind the hills, instead of the trees in front of the hills. (Yeah, I know it's a draw distance thing.)
2. A method to adjust sounds; Engine, Bell, Horn, etc.
3. The ability to change something minor in Surveyor (a building, floating road, trees, etc.), and still be able to go back into a saved session and see the thing that's been fixed. Of course, I realize you couldn't mess with anything that would jeopardize the saved session, but, and if you DID try to change something (track, switch, loco, etc.) that would mess up your saved session, there could be a pop-up that said something like "Warning: Changing this will delete a saved session. Are you sure you wish to change this?"
4. Better looking track spurs with automatic frogs, etc.
5. More realistic appearing water.
6. A.I. Engineers should recognize user-controlled trains. When I am approaching a passing track and there is an A.I. train waiting, I have to "Stop Train" for the A.I. train in order to have the switch thrown in my needed direction.
7. Items in the distance should s-l-o-w-l-y fade into view as you approach instead of just POPPING into view.
8. We have the "Railyard" where we can view locomotives and rolling stock--- why can't we have something similar to see all other objects in a bigger view?
(I stole this one from Mr.Jingles, but I whole-heartedly agree) Rail Ends / Buffers should actually stop rolling stock when moving below, let's say, 10 mph (currently rolling stock moves right through them and then derails at the end of the line)
That's all I have listed at the moment.
