There is a particular engine which has gotten my interest in recent weeks. It is Lehigh Valley Railroad SW1 #112. The link below will explain some of the locos specs but what makes this interesting is that it is the ONLY LV LOCOMOTIVE TO SURVIVE IN ITS ORIGINAL PAINT. The locomotive operated from when it left the EMC works in La Grange, Illinois in 1939 til the LV was absorbed into Conrail in 1976. She is now under the care of a new owner who has her based on the Black River and Western Railroad in Ringoes, NJ, about an hour and a half north of Philadelphia. In these two videos, you will see this engine in operation in Ringoes and running a train to Flemington. Also, notice the horn on the locomotive. It's unlike many others I have heard.
