Layers

I have TRS19 Build 114800 and layers works for me. My suggestion is exit/restart and see if it works then. Also try loading a different route.

Layers are working fine and exactly as they always have in my build 114800. Could you be more specific? What is your problem with layers?

A while back, maybe quite a while back this is what I was instructed to do to use Layers: Put the building on a Layer named Buildings, then create a new layer called Details, locking all others, you can now place details inside of other assets/buildings, without moving the building/asset. I had been doing this up until recently when it failed to work. What is the problem?

My experience when this happens it's usually because I'm staring at the layer, I'm supposed to be selecting that's locked, but I've still selected the unlocked layer.

I followed the above steps as you described.

  1. added a new route layer named Buildings (layer is automatically selected as the Active layer)
  2. added a station with platform in the Buildings layer,
  3. locked the Buildings layer.
  4. added a new route layer called Details (layer is automatically selected as the Active layer)
  5. added platform seats, platform trolleys, etc to the platform in the Details layer.

No problems. I do not understand exactly what you mean by "it failed to work".

Thanks John and pware. I must have had steps out of order until I followed the pware post. Thanks again.
