Large Routes

Hello Killer(?),

You might want to start with Sherman Hill. There is no limit to the routes you can find on the DLS. Do a little digging and you will certainly find someting that fits your needs.

And the Ultra-Mega-Merge UMR, while some segments of this giant route have tight radius curves there are long, long, long sections suitable for the big engines.

JRFolco's WM & B&O native mode. Massive route. Eastern mountain railroading. http://glenwoodshops.com/
Following your recommendation, I downloaded Mr. Folco's "Cumberland to Connellsville" route; I am interested in comparing it with one of the earliest 3rd-party routes made for MSTS, the "Sandpatch" route by Maple Leaf Tracks.

However, it suffers from exactly the same problems that I have been experiencing with my "Potash" route, in that when opened in Surveyor, there is nothing but an infinite expanse of blue, even when the Warnings & Errors check in CM comes up clean.

If anyone from Auran/N3V is reading this thread could you please cast some light on why this problem is occurring?

Hi Bruce

Try downloading the WM & B&O Mega Route Native Mode, and running it in TS12 to see if that helps. The Mega route is a merge of the Cumberland to Connellsville, and the Western Maryland Thomas Sub, so you'll have the original Cumberland to Connellsville route for your comparison.

Are you looking for real or non real.
My Dragons pass route is well over 150miles and growing.
Real I'm working on a Canadian Route with shod pack over 300 miles+

Thanks for the suggestion, Joe.
What I did was to install Trainz 2006 on another PC and the route runs fine under that.
I like it very much - you've done a great job.

Hi Bruce

Try downloading the WM & B&O Mega Route Native Mode,....
Well, I did so this morning, Joe, and for the past hour have been running up the line from below Cumberland towards Connellsville.
What can I say other than "magnificent"?! :D
You've certainly created an excellent alternative to the MSTS version done by Maple Leaf Tracks many years back.
This will become a favourite route for me, I have no hesitation in saying.

I'm now going to search for some top-quality B&O, C&O, WM and CSX power and 'stock. :)

A bit more on Sherman Hill.

In 1950 there were 198 Steam Locomotives working in to, out of, or through Cheyenne.

Pretty incredible!

Edit: this does not include dozens of locomotives in storage, laid aside, or in the shops.
