lack of British content for 2012

The .ja files need to be renamed then moved into the TSR12 "Built in" folder.

This is correct, except that you don't need to rename anything.

My moved files are now called 1.ja to 8.ja, BaseTs10.ja & DataTs10.ja

The TS2010 "Base" and "Data" JA files should not be copied across. They'll do nothing beneficial.

kind regards,

chris

Perhaps the answer is to set up a filter based on region and disable US locomotives and rolling stock so its easier to find the UK items. Trouble is locomotives are used for barges etc.

Perhaps someone could refine this idea?

Wow! that's a pretty impressive list. Thanks for posting the kuid's....mebbe I'll have a go at getting some. Presumably they'll all be on the dls, when I get time I'll have a look. many thanks to you and all the other good guys for your help...Rule Brittania, eh!

That is a pretty impressive list, but it should also be noted that the list would be a lot shorter if you took
out the obsolete versions of all the loco's that are repeated due to 'version' number. :D

as an aged fan of Trainz, having progressed from trs2006,09, 2010, have recently installed 2012 , but was surprised to find I cannot get any British steam locos to install in 2012, only diesels.
The game is fine for US, French, Hungarian and russian owners, but unless I'm missing something, as a fan of british content, I'm sticking to 2010 Engineers edition, that all works fine. Does anyone know where I'm going wrong.....as a pensioner I could be pretty hopeless with technical stuff !

As an almost ex-Lincs lad (Northants - next door!) myself, I am very pleased to let you know that I will soon be finished final testing of route Gwladys Ddu (overhauled to take advantage of TS12) and am planning on uploading a Session which will include quite a number of GWR steam locos. Unless you have a problem with GWR, I think that you will be very happy!

Regards. Colin.

I've done a search in the download station and so far have not found a single one of the locos that Paul has listed above..... Where can we find them please?

I must admit Im not sure what is available. I did a search based on UK or Great Britain and found I had just about everything installed. Not so. It did not list many items I know are there - locos in particular, which I know I have not downloaded. Try searching by company name - ie GWR - LMS or BR, or by manufacturer - Fowler - Austerity etc. You will find more there but it does take some time to locate what you want - particularly if you do not know the type of loco you want.

Hi

Many of the locos on the list above are payware models from the Settle and Carlisle add on or from other third party vendors. On the DLS try searching for user names lielestosbrat (ex LNER & SR), skipper1945 (ex GWR & SR), billegulla (LMS Princess Royal only), chrisaw (SR Lord Nelson), Alex23 (many older models which may need some work for 2009 upwards) and paulhobbs which are just off the top of my head. You don't mention which company or companies you are interested in or which era. If you can give such information then you will probably get further help.

Regards

Brian

If you mean me Brian, I'm not really bothered about any particular company or era I just thought it would be nice to have a good variety of the old stuff added to my engine shed.

Excellent news, I like the Gwladys Ddu layout.
