KUID'S Not Working

Hey everybody

I just finshed downloading a train which is the Amtrak P40 locomotive from the Trainz Download Station.

Anyway i downloaded it in .cdp format and put it in Content Manager Plus. For some reason it says it has two missing dependecies. But when I looked at the dependencies, they were actually in CMP. But I don't know how to make them work with the engine.
The names of the dependencies are
- <kuid:46162:55180>
- <kuid:-42003000>
Can anybody please help me? I know very little about adding trains into the game and this is my first one.

When you place and use the train itself in Trainz, it should automatically access those dependencies (I believe that's how it works), so what you're wanting to do should be unnecessary. Of course, if any of the dependencies are faulty or missing, you can expect some odd behavior (you'll know if they're faulty or missing).

Good idea, and the train itself does show up in Trianz, but when i click on it to put it on the track, nothing happens, and there is no rotating train in the little box etheir. The two files are in CMP, but trainz doens't reconize them.
This is what it looks like when I view the missing dependicncies in CMP:

do a search for the 3 deps with the ? against them. once you've downloaded and commited them your loco will show.

Wow, I got them mixed up! Ones with ? are ones missing. Thanks!. Anyway I searched for the 3 KUID's missing and got zero. I googled the name of each, again, zero. I also went to DLS and searched for kuids and again, zero (I see a pattern, lol). Any ideas?

just downloaded them myself with the same result you have.
the missing kuids are in order: engine spec
bogey
horn sound.
See if you can find another site that has the locos. Without those above items the loco won't work.

Do a search on the DLS for the User Kuid 52779. You need to check all the boxes for the search.

The user may have something else than can be used in its place. You can also contact the user this way too if he or she posted their email in their profile.

Yep, that was it! Thanks for all the help! Genesis is looking great with a string of Superliner cars behind it!! Now, I want to get a drffrent train as well. The Amtrak P40 from ProTrainz. I downloaed it and installed it, and i got more missing dependicies when i looked at it. Where do I get this one?

check the site for deps for that loco. if no joy post missing ones here someone will have had the same problem.
