Kit Bashing NS Dash 9

Trying to Kit bash Dash 9 with PTC setup from CPS. Got it to show up and moved not sure how to keep it from picking up on map1 from the loco itself. Just need a little help. :wave:

hi sureshot,
what are you trying to do exactly and where/what is your problem?
kit bash, is re-using parts of other loc's right?
no idea what PTC setup or CPS is
What you mean by "picking up on map1" ?


If you need help on something, the more you explain, the better the chance someone can help

Hey G.M.
If you look on top of the loco you will the the PTC setup. It was pulling the map1 for the loco itself instead of the map file for the PTC setup. I am redoing Justin's dash 9 as aAC44C6m So i need to do little kit bashing. I
figured out what i needed to do finally to get the map to show up right. I show pics when get it completed.

Apparently PTC is Positive Train Control. I think CPS is Control Point Simulations. From what I can gather certain maps support Positive Train Control?

Still got to make the Aux Box behind the cab on the left side of the locomotive.

Be nice but can’t change the mesh. Wish I could.

Couldn't you ask one of your fellow RRMODS members to make one, then make an attachment point on the original mesh to attach it?

I have not talked to them guys in a long time. Plus that is Justin's loco i done it on.

Looks great the way it is. Can we assume it will be on the DLS sometime in the future?
