Are the above the same because I have successfully used the keycode that is stuck to the back of the manual that came with TS12.However if I try to use it for getting into Planet Auran it will not accept the number saying it is not recognised. If they are different where then is the serial number? They look the same sort of numbers.

You maybe trying to register the wrong TS12 product. There are two of them. There's the Anniversary Edition, and there is the regular TS12 version. If you try to enter in the code for the wrong product, it won't register. I found this out the hard way when I registered TS12 Anniversary Edition 2 years ago.

I believe that what John means is that there are 4 versions of TS12.

There is:

Trainz Simulator 12
10th Anniversary Edition
Railroad Simulator powered by TS12
Railway Simulator powered by TS12

You will need to select the correct option for your version.

Auran (N3V) is in Australia, and they haven't come to work yet but should be here shortly. Zec should be able to help you sort this out, I'm sure. Remember they have a small team there, and he's probably running around crazy. I used to work in a place like that. It was crazy, but a lot of fun too because the days flew by.

Anyway...

Check that your firewall, whether that's Windows firewall, or the one in your antivirus program, is setup to allow Launcher.exe, Trainz.exe, Content Manager, TrainzUtil, and TrainzDaemon to talk to the outside world. I had to do this with my setup in order to connect up to the Planet Auran server to log in and register the serial numbers in the Launcher.
