Keyboard controls.

Hello,

Does anybody know how to set the reverser control to neutral using the keyboard? I can use F for forward and R for reverse, but no amount of keypresses will put it into neutral and I have to scroll down the screen and use the mouse.

Thanks,

Neil. ;)

Hi Neil,

I think it's either V or U. I can't tell by my own handwriting. :o

I hope this helps somewhat.

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I've tried both V and U. V seems to be the sand box and U doesn't do anything.

Does anybody else have the same problem?

Neil.

In 2004, the Technical Manual has keyoard commands at the end of the document. V is Reverser Handle Neutral, Shift + S should be Sand, U is not listed. I don't know why V does Sand for you, I never looked for a way to change key commands.

Hi Guy's !

There is a way, at least in TRS2006. You have to edit the file 'keyboard.txt' in the 'settings' folder.

The line you have to edit is this:

'train_cabin_rev_neutral null'

so it looks like that :

'train_cabin_rev_neutral alt n'

I use alt + n, but you can use what you want, so long as no other function is using the same combination of letters.

Good luck ! Kind regards, Al from Denmark.

I think TO also lets you do it.

Hi Nismit !

I assume you are talking about 'TrainzObjects', right ? I don't know if it can (somebody ?). Unfortunately, TO don't work in TRS2006. As i understand from the forum, it's an absolutly 'must have' for solving problems in TRS2004.

Al.
