Kettle Valley Railway

Hey all,

I am currently working on the 300+ mile Kettle valley railway stretching from Hope BC to Midway BC. This railway is now abandoned and I am trying to recreate it in trainz. So far I am just working on laying track. What i'm looking for is for some help with the buildings on this route. All the station buildings are standard Canadian pacific. Can someone make these buildings on Gmax for me?

That is a pic of one of the shelters. Dark rusty red colour.

OK - I printed these out. Will give me something to start on. Please keep in mind I'll have to "wing it" a little on the sides I can't see (colors too).

Have 2 projects ahead of you but it won't be too long.

spout on both sides...also note the red colour used on all most stations, sections houses, tool sheds on the KVR. I think that the shed beside is a toolshed.

Printed these out. Where is the water tower located? Merritt?

Campbell makes an enclosed water kit similar to this in HO scale tho its not as tall.

That water tower is located in brookmere just south of merritt. Someone has made it on the DS but it's of lesser quality.

The GNR stations are all practically the same and I could really use one as part of the trackage on the KVR was jointly owned with the Great northern.

What they say is the station is more than likely a section house. good colour.

Printed out all from your last 2 posts. I should be able to make most of this including the trestle and snowshed but probably not the water tower. Its not that I can't make it - rather its that I don't think its fair for me to duplicate someone elses efforts. Not fair to them.

Have a few projects ahead of these but it won't be too long.

I have downloaded a lot of your work already and think it is some of the best on the DS. Thanks a lot for showing interest and helping out! This route is really starting to take shape. I have already have over 50miles of mainline in place waiting to be scenic'd. In all the route is over 250 miles long with a couple branchlines. Thanks again!

Since we are undoubtedly going to be talking back and forth a lot - might I suggest we switch this to e-mails? No need to clutter up Forum with the inevitable back-n-forth that will be required. My e-mail address is in my profile.

As an example - in looking at what you have sent so far - many stations are quite small. So small that making them interactive might be a waste of time (but it can be done if you wish).

Finishing up my previous big project. Then have the royal gorge suspension bridge to make and a "see-thru" coal tower to finish. Start in a week (2 at the most).
