Kentucky and Tennessee Railroad-Large Pictures.

I'm with gisa. More pictures would be great. You could use them to ask specific questions about what you've built.

OTOH, if you'd like to upload a "version 1" or some portion of what you've done, I'd be interested in taking a look at it. I live in central Kentucky now and have always loved the Kentucky-Tennessee-Virginia-West Virginia region.

I'll get some shots up soon.:)
Progress through Monterey is coming along nicely, just as planned.
I'm going to do a little more Google Earthing before I complete anywhere north of Peter Road in Monterey.
I'll have shots up tonight or tomorrow.
Thank You everyone for your interest, opinions and support!
I appreciate and value that!:)

ic,

I have my fingers crossed , it need not be perfect , simply continue to move forward . I am hoping your talents as a future creator imerge . If you stumble , and/or you are not satisfied with the results , simply begin again , but do not abandon your desire to complete a project you evidently were enthused about in the beginning and simply start still another !

My thoughts --- ,DLR

PS - ' Son , I will whip you like a tired mule until you finish plowing the field !' quoted from my daddy -

Deeelare,
I love the quote, very good!
But don't but that in the media, they'll fry you like an egg.:o
Anyway,
I plan to continue, hopefully releasing the demo here pretty soon, if I can ever figure out how to do that!:hehe:
Perhaps I bit off more than I can chew, but what the heck, we live once.:p
I'll be working on it tomorrow, as I have to compile some information for something a little more important at the moment.

hey, i live 35 miles north of hopkinsville ky, i live in madisonville ky,,
would be nice to check it out

Oooooo! We could get all the Trainzers in Kentucky to meet in Lexington and then do a field trip through the route that Dermmy made. :D Then we could tour the K&T's route. Both real and fictional.

Lemme guess, I'll have to "upgrade" from TRS2004 to ride the K&T, won't I?

Sadly, Yes TRS2004 users will not be able to run the KT due to the fact that it is being built in TRS2006.
Another note is, my 'water" in TRS06 does not work, never has, so when users download the KT, you will have to add water yourself.

I'll be working on it through the day and will get some progress shots up for you.

Thanks,
Woody

Looks good, Woody! :Y:

You can always add an instruction in your "readme" file.

JUST ADD WATER (like some of the food you take with you on camping trips)

4. With Baxter Out, TC Struggles Again.
The line expanded slowly and piecemeal to the west and north of Nashville during this period, falling into receivership twice, in 1897 and 1912, on the latter occasion operating in technical insolvency for ten years. Baxter died in 1904, leaving as his heritage the now completed TC, which was unfortunately heavily burdened with debt. Although the company was operating "in the black", they were unable to meet their bonded indebtedness, which was incurred from the building of the line. In 1905, the TC was leased for three years to the IC west of Nashville and the Southern east of Nashville. Due to unprofitable operations, neither line opted to renew their lease. In 1922, a group of investors led by Paul M. Davis bought the railroad at a bankruptcy sale, thus abolishing the bonded indebtedness. They hired former president Hugh Wright Stanley, who operated the line profitably (except during 1932 and 1933) until 1945. The first diesel-electric locomotive switcher was brought to Nashville in 1939 by the TC.

Look for more as we continue the Tennessee Central trail...

ic,

This ain't going to work , you have a problem with TRS2006 and/or your PC ? I strongly suggest you correct these problems prior to creating your route !
No one is going to be happy with a download that they must insert water , and whatever else it is in your route that will be lacking due to the errors of your installation of TRS2006 ?

My thoughts --- ,DLR

I've tried to fix it, but nothing happens.
It has been like that since day one.
But there really aren't that many rivers anyway.
I'll find a fix.
There is no rivers in Monterey, so there are no worries for the demo.
I should have TS2009 by the time the main route is complete.

If you create it in 06 , chances are it will not be compatible with 09 ?
I am sorry but I cannot understand your logic , you are trying to create a route with an installation of Trainz that you are well aware of is corrupted in one way or another , please don't upload it .
Continue on , however , you and others are bound to be disappointed ?
I will not waste my time on this subject any longer , best of luck !

See you on your/my next thread --- ,DLR

Deeelare, the game is not corrupted.
I have fixed that former issue.
That is old news, if you do not wish to use this route, don't post simple as that!:hehe:

Anyway,
I've made some slow progress today, including installing new Safetran signals downtown.
I've also tweaked with the track and corrected the TN62-US70 street in downtown.
Here is a shot of the cutoff.
