just purchased 2010 (digital)

hi guys

im not new to trainz, had classic a good few years back then got 2004 which i stayed with for a good while, i only do route building as i like to create! anyway i had a break from it for a while...anyway i just purchased 2010 from auran website using the download option but i wish i never!

i knew the file size would be big (around 7gig total) my isp is BE Unlimited which atm is probably one of the best isp's in UK for gaming/downloads etc & on average i get around 2-3mb speed on downloads & sometimes with multiple files.

however, from auran im only getting about 150-180k for a single file!? ..i think its a bit unfair that the server for donloading the game ive just bought gives this speed, i get faster speeds downloading content off the DLS! i download & upload alot of files daily..the only time my rate drops is due to the server im dloading from for the times ive checked & ran a tracert, so its definately not my connection!

Yes im impatient! which was why i opted for the download as i dont want to wait for it to come via post lol.

but seriously 150-200k?, surely they can do better for people who opt to doanload the game to get decent download speeds, afterall..its not cheaper to buy the download & we are saving you from having to Box it up with manuals etc, the least auran could do is gives us nice fast speeds for ther download!

other than this (& yup its not a biggy i know!) but i think its something you should look at anyway, its great software & keep up the good work guys

There was an issue with the download server for TRS the other day, a couple of the files were corrupted. It may be that they are still doing some work on that server.

They are also in the process of upgrading the servers, this could also be a contributing factor.

Also, it is possible, although not that likely, that many people were downloading from that server at the time you were trying to, resulting in extremely slow download speeds.

Id send a ticket and report the problem.

Different server to the DLS, and they are replacing the servers until the 12th March. My five files came in at 300 kbs which is normal for my broadband connection so I'd try again now after the weekend.
