Couldn't Trainz, with its ability to have things added and made, be used to make a slot car track and simulator? Or, has someone done this already?

That would be cool. I still have my old Aurora track and transformer somewhere in a box. Probably need to take some sandpaper to the pickup shoes. With a simulator, I guess that would save a little space.

Invisible track and a few odd looking locos. After all that what the canal narrow boats are. See Middleton with canals for an example.

Someone posted a screenshot of a route with a 1/4 mile oval race track. ALl you would have to add would be the invisible tracks and the cars. I don't recall what route it was, but you might want something a little more interesting. NASCAR or SCCA or something....

I went ahead and gave it a spin, I used the roads already in trains and the drivable 1963 VW Beetle, yep, good ole number 53 Herbie. It made every jump perfectly, and went around the turn and never flipped off once!!! . I wish my old track could have done that!!

In that case, you could probably make a Hot Wheels set up and have Herbie do loops.
