Junction Signal problem

Need some advice. I have a duel mainline with four industry tracks off to one side, two in each direction. Problem is if a consist( A ) traveling on the main is turning off into the siding to enter either tracks 1 or 2 it is shown a red light at QR O2.While consists traveling from the sidings along tracks 3 & 4 are given green lights through to the Mainline in the opposite direction. Only when these are clear is consist A given a green to exit the mainline into the siding.
I have even tried a few blocks of dwarfs on tracks 2 & 4 but they still get the greens
Have tried a few combinations of signals on the sidings with the same result.
How do I give consist ( A ) priority to clear the mainline before the consists in the sidings can leave?

I'll assume you have track direction markers set up as you don't report any wrong way running. Just to confirm, you say Consist A gets a red aspect on QR04. Do you mean QR02?

I won't claim to be an expert here but I think you will need to change the train priorities in surveyor to ensure your Consist A has a higher priority than those in the sidings. It may also depend on the driver rules you have set up. Adding a wait for trigger command for Consists B and C, would help so that they would have to wait for Consist A to come into the siding before they were given track posession.

I stand by to be proved wrong by those with much greater knowledge than I...

I do remember that the default Auran QR signals are rather simplistic in their operation, in that they basically only can only control one set of points past the signal. Any more points beyond the first are virtually invisible to them from their point of view. This isn't actually how real signalling works on the prototype.

The usual way of using the default Auran signals is to place a signal like QR02 at each set of points, but track arrangements don't always allow this, in which case invisible signals are a useful alternative.

There was an official Auran signalling guide included with older versions of Trainz which described the Auran QR signalling in detail, and how to fix these sorts of problems, but it seems to have been eliminated from the latest versions (it didn't come with my version of 2010 for one thing).

Yer ( typo ) QR02 red light for the turn. All with track & direction markers.I.ve managed to sort out all my other junctions with invisible signals & triggers for AI but this one is being stubborn.

G'day Dave,
Have you got a signal of any kind (invisible, buffer, light etc) at the end of sidings 1 and 2?

Cheers
Russell.

Exactly where is the 04 on the bottom main line (the one drawn more or less below the 02) located in relation to the junction? I can't really see the need for that one. If it is left of the junction should it face the other way? If it is right of the junction it appears to duplicate the other 04.

Anyway I'd have a signal facing traffic leaving the sidings located between the convergence of the tracks leaving/entering the main and the junction to track B. If that location looks visually wrong use an invisible sig...

Andy :)

The 04 below the 02 is about 50mts to the left of the junction the other 04 is 60mts to the right .Traffic on the lower line plus 3 & 4 travels R-L & upper line plus 1 & 2 L-R.The green ML track turns into the siding. The Blue track exiting the siding crosses the green ML which is protected by a trigger controlling sig QR 02.
All track is one direction only except for the section between the yellow arrows which handles both traffic in to 1 & 2 out & from 3 & 4.

The siding is about 1.5km long & joins back into the main. No problem with the junctions at the other end though
