5m Grid is really nice
Have played around for a few hours in 2009 and I have to say I really like the new 5 meter grid. This is something I have been dreaming for since version 1.0. :hehe:

The next thing I really would like to see is a better and more realistic way for building tunnels.
By the way, I have not been able to fined the new high graphic rail tracks so fare. are they in the Beta 1 release?
If yes, can anyone tell me the name?

Succesful download
I followed the instructions to the letter, and was rewarded with a solid entry to the sim. Now if only contributors could look at their content before submitting it! There are over 1300 content items displaying errors:'( in the content manager, missing .tga files, unrecognised commands, the list goes on! And that's before I begin to look at bugs! But that saying, the graphical display looks great, and the metro north scenarios are really good.:mop:

HELP!!!! Why Does it Say I ordered the DVD????
:'( I pre-ordered through the website and now I am unable to download after I registered the BETA serial number it says I ordered it as A DVD???? I am really upset that this has become such a hassle, as I have spent the last hour trying to figure out how to download the darn thing. I have sent an email to the helpdesk, and hope I get an answer soon either from you or the helpdesk. This is for my 8-year old son who has become OBSESSED with this game and spends most of his free time playing, although I am helping him quite often trry to figure out where missing KUIDs are.
Please help get me to the download portion of this for what I purchased. I am trying not to get upset, but this is really harder than it should be!

Ok, now I found the email, but it says after one month we will need to purchase a new serial number...so I have to pay for the game twice? What gives? I am sorry we didn't wait for the DVD edition...

If you pre-ordered, you will not have to pay again.....you will just have to re-enter the serial number when you get the dvd. The message you are getting is just generic since some of us were able to get the beta version without pre-ordering. We will have to purchase the dvd when the beta version has expired if we want to continue...

Thanks for talking me off the ledge here...I am still a little confused. So even if I pre-ordered a download version only, I will still be getting a DVD? If not will they send a new serial number via email? The serial number I have starts with BETA...If you pre-ordered, you will not have to pay again.....you will just have to re-enter the serial number when you get the dvd. When we get the final version, will we need to uninstall the Beta? Or will it just overwrite it?

If you pre-ordered a download version only and they say you've ordered a dvd, then I would contact Auran to clarify that.....in any case, the new serial number would be included in the download if that's how you get it.....if you chose to download, you won't get a dvd...

I will be deleting the beta version and do a clean install of the final release. I will save any work I've done before doing that.

After finally getting it to run, went into surveyor and started to build a small route,some tools are very slow, some fast and erratic, and other objects disappear when you are using the topology tool. I notice that most of these are already mentioned in the testers forum. I like the smaller grid though.

How do you get to put the game into "administrator" ? I'm in the same situation as Greywolf was, only i enter the CD KEY in the option box, and then the game starts, and just after it launched, a little box tells me the CD KEY is invalid or the installation failed. So I have to uninstall end reinstall several times??
