Very funny, indeed!

So is this Super scale versus Z? :D

When I've created models, I've had the opposite happen. I've placed the item into a scene and haven't been able to find it. It wasn't invisible, but very close - like the size of a flea!

The other thing of done is have the zero offset too high so the object was like a mile in the air off the ground-level!

Easy to do. When I start a new model, I always create a 1 metre cube and press 'Zoom extents all'. This sets the page to a size that suits Trainz modelling. I also set the grid to 1", major lines at 12"

This is a great tip and exactly what I will do from now on!!!

I meant to comment on your model, definitely beautiful if one can use that adjective for a dirty traincar.

What units are you working with? As long as the 'system' units are metres, the 'user' units can be feet and inches, even for the bogies. I have worked this way for the last 10 years and never had a poblem.

Thanks Peter

I started in feet then switched everything over to metric when I realized that this was necessary for animations. I also started this model in GMAX and switched it over to 3ds Max which is the origin of the original size issue. I made a cube the correct size for the car and shrunk the model so it fit inside - all good now (LOL)

The comment in the WIKI is wrong

Animations work just as well in feet and inches, what people forget that internally all dimensions are converted to metres anyway. I have always used feet and inches even for steam engine motion gear using bones and always everything works.
