Is Vista 64 supported

I have searched the forum and the home page, but could not find a clear answer:

Is Vista 64 supported ?

I am NOT asking if Trainz2009 is a 64 bit application, I am JUST asking if Vista64 is supported (which means: does it run OK on a 64bit OS) ?

Thanks, Marco.

Following on from that, does that mean TRS can now make use of any RAM over 2 GB?

Not as yet ... but a quote from here gives > http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=33711 < hope for some improvment in this area and the ability to use 4gig of my ram is still better than 2gig.

We are investigating one of the workarounds for a service pack - this would allow people with 32 bit OSes (the vast majority) to run the program as-is, but those few with 64 bit OSes to use up to 4GB, rather than the standard 2GB.

.

I can't say for sure about Vista but the beta ran quite well on a 3 year old athlon 64 bit system with one gig of ram.

Cheers

AJ

Thank you everybody for your answers.
Now it's just waiting for a demo (not buying anymore blind: no see, no buy)

AJ: Thanks, but the CPU being 64bit is not an indication.
A 32bit OS uses it in 32bit mode.
It's a 64bit OS than can cause trouble, mostly due to how some of the drivers interact

Ciao, Marco.
