Is There An Easier Way?

Is there a way to rename objects in content manager so that they are catagorized in Surveyor without messing everything up? Even something simple like adding a V to the front of all vehicles, or A for autos...just something that would group them together in surveryor so I don't spent and hour everytime I need something looking through every object for the best one I want? If there is an apparent way of doing this and I missed it please forgive my ignorance, I've been around awhile but still inexperienced. Thanks.

You could clone them, and rename them.

I prefer to write all my favorite assets down in a paperback journal, whith a breif description...and when I want them, I just highlight the surveyor header box and type in the first couple letters...and the asset shows up.

Rather than rename, use Surveyor's Content Search Filter. Example to get only vehicles displayed in the Objects window:
F3 to open Objects pullout
Click the Content Search Filter icon
Click the +
Click on Name
Scroll up to Category
Click in the right window
Scroll down to Vehicle

Now only vehicles will be listed in the objects window. Be sure to clear the Content Search filter if you want to use any other feature of Surveyor.

An alternative is to use the Keywords function in CMP - you assign a keyword to a group of assets and these will then come up in CMP/Surveyor when the keyword is entered as a search item.

Thank- you all very much. As much as I've played around in there I never knew these options were available. This will really help. Again, thanks.
