Is RAM upgrade worth it?

I currently use my ASUS Tuff A17 Laptop (RTX 3060 2GB GPU) more for Trainz than my PC. I have just added a 2TB SSD and wondering if it is worth increasing my RAM from 16GB to 32GB

18 core xeon CPU, RTX 3080, currently it has 32 gigs but I have some spare memory that could push it up to 128 gigs.

Any thoughts?

Note one user found going to 64 GB from 32 helped with a very large layout.

For a laptop the trade off is a bit more heat which might cause throttling, on balance I'd go 32 GB.
