Is it possible to un register serial numbers

You will not be able to, no. Whether N3V choose to though is a different thing which is unlikely (as serial numbers technically are not transferable).

Hi there.
Why do you want to "unregister" a serial number. The software is yours, registered to you and always will be as long as N3V exists. Even if you do not use a version any longer it still remains your registered property. If you wish to sale a registered copy to another person, I believe that it is not possible to transfer the registration to someone else.

It will all be in the End User Licence Agreement that you consented to when you "purchased" your copy of Trainz.
Actually, you did not purchase it in the same sense that you would when purchasing a car, a Mars Bar, a computer - all you have purchased is the right to use (a licence in other words) the software that is always owned by N3V. Legally, they can require you to uninstall it at any time. The small print in the licence (you did read the small print didn't you?) will prevent you from transferring your software licence and the software to anyone else - so they cannot then use it and your licence.

You can put a piece of masking tape on the disc/box, with your EMail address written down, Username, Password, Disc Code, Bank account and routing numerals, credit card numbers and 3 digit code on the back, SS Number, DOB information, home address, phone number ... then you can sell all that info to hackers worldwide who will assume your identity
