Is it possible to edit a files description on the DLS after upload

Empire Builder
I recently uploaded 2 routes, however the description for both of them doesn't show on their DLS pages, can I edit it in or do I have to re-upload them?

I have same trouble.

G'day Trainkid91, I have same trouble with one of mine and have been searching the forum without any luck. I hope some one with some knowledge can help us.
Regards Jeff.

Since the description is part of the config file you will need to upload again with a revision number upgrade.

Thank you gfisher.

Thank you gfisher, Care to give us a simple tutorial on uploading again with a revision number upgrade, the uploading is OK, It's that revision number change that I have trouble with.

Depends on the version of Trainz, TRS2006 / TRS2009 just right click the item in CMP/ CM2 and create a new version. You will need to add an obsolete table to the config.txt file that obsolete's the original kuid number, download one of mine with a kuid2 number and have a look at the config.txt file for the obsolete table.

Thank you John. Will do.

If you are using TRS2006, 09 or the TC series, my suggested approach is to use CMP/CM2 to find the asset, Open for Edit in Explorer, and move the folder containig the asset to a temporary folder outside the TRS folder.

Open the config.txt file and change the kuid of the asset to a kuid2 format.

For example, if the original is kuid:123:456, change it to kuid2:123:456:1. When uploaded to the DLS it will then automatically superceed the earlier version.

If you need to update again, just go to :2, then :3, ... .

If using TRS2004, this process can be done using TrainzObjectz.
