Is it as big as it used to be?

TRS2006

I have Vista operating system. I have never had TRS2004. I installed TRS2006 with no problem, even without disabling Norton antivirus. TRS2006 works great. What is SP1 and why does one need to uninstall TRS2006 in order to install SP1 ? What is the advantage of SP1 ? What is the disadvantage of not installing SP1 ?

Hi Leswell,

You're right. If you can't find it you don't have it. I frequently have this very argument with a lot of my customers who can't see the value of filing things rationally.

Bernie

This just occurred to me. Why not add a "churn" button to the DLS. Click the button and the assets on the DLS are churned with a virtual stick. The visitor can view it and see all of the things that come to the top. As soon as he sees something interesting he can click it and automatically start a download. Then he would not have to be hampered by all of the categories and search parameters.

Depends on when and where you got your copy of TRS06.....some of the later issues had SP1 already installed....if your's doesn't, it would be a benefit to install it. You have to uninstall 06 because SP1 won't work without a clean install of 06....on the other hand, if you're happy with what you get out of it now, why bother..?

Yea I have been quite absent since 2004 days after being involved from the early days before the first version was released and I actually thought Auran was no more. After finding out a 2009 version is just around the corner I came back on to the site and had a look in the forum. I agree it is so different nowadays. Anyway have preordered and looking forward to 2009 version and my love of trains again.

Not sure why my account on the forum indicates new as I joined back in 2001 before Trainz CE was released.

cheers

Dave
