Irish track plans query

Some time ago in a passing couple of PM's someone showed me a track layout at a major Irish station near to Heuston. Unfortunately I don't remember who he was and would raise my query here.

The track plan was not just showing each individual track as one line if you get me but was laid out with 2 close together for each line and the crossovers, etc. The impression I got was that the localised track mapping was actually a widespread covering of the IR. Might be a long shot but wondered if anyone might know where such could be traced Not finding the answer will not stop me from what I am doing but passingly curious!

No Vern it isn't that and as it happens I actually have a copy of that booklet. Amusingly whilst in Ulster building the NIR I lost mine but ordered a replacement.

The point I was trying to explain about was a very excellent example a long time ago when a Trainzer sent me an example instead of the routine single line drawn there would be two very close together if you get my meaning? In hindsight it was obvious this was from a very wide range of diagrams. In two areas where there are two large areas of track knowing where that style of diagram came from would have been good so I don't miss anything out. Don't even know if the person who originally showed me that example is stil with trainz. Will probably manage to get all the tracks in hopefully though.

Sounds like the Ordnance survey 1:1250 maps, they even have signal posts marked on them. If the route you're interested in is covered by the Middleton Press books, they usually use them to show station areas.

Yes the OSI site is very good, though there are some oddities and omissions from the large scale map. For example neither the Killkenny to Castlecomer branch and onward to Deerport (one of Eire's few collieries, now closed) or the Athy to Wolfhill branch - also coal related - can be picked up on the large scale maps.

Ah that is the type of drawing I was leaning towards nexusdj. My only thing is not sure of the time piece as what I am building is a modern layout. The man who sent me the example ages ago looked a modern thing by the way it appeared but nevertheless thanks for the info.
