Iportal & driver commands

Been playing around with iportal .Set up a consist & sme driver commands

eg . Drive here stop there etc .

Then drive to portal A which is configured to have consist exit portal B .

But how do you add driver commands to follow once it comes out of portal B

I tried a few things but the command line at the bottom of the screen is blank.

Hi,

You will have to setup the driver commands 'after' the train leaves the IPortal, once a train enters all driver commands are lost, naturally if you send this train to someone else their layout is probably different to yours.

Myself and brother used to play via the IPortal sometime ago, but he has moved on to other games and that is what we found out.

I was trying to set it up on my own layout it runs fine until it enters the 1st portal the just loops between the 2.

I,m building a layout for my grandson.With things that happen when his train hits a trigger. I was hoping to set up a container ship that would steam off when a train hit a trigger enter the portal & return to the dock through the other waiting for the next trigger to start it off again.

Looks like it's time to try work a rounds again

Nope, even if it is on your own layout, once the train enters the IPortal all driver commands are lost.

That's the way they work...

Found a way to do it that’s good enough.


Have set the exit iportal to manual that way the consist comes out without instructions but brakes & stops when it's out.
On the way out it hits a trigger which brings another loco up to couple up to the front of the consist. This loco has the new driver commands which the consist now follows.
Have tried just coupling up & using both locos & going off with new commands & uncoupling the original loco & shunting it onto a siding & continuing with just the new loco & both way work well.
