invalid serial number

I've been using Trainz 12 now for a few months but now when I launch the game I get an error "You have entered an invalid serial number. Please check that you are entering English characters"
It is registered, also I can't access the content files.
Any one else come across this error and importantly how can I correct it.

Might be worth copying it from your profile into the Trainz Options dialog.

OK - did you do anything just before the error started appearing?

If not, I think a Helpdesk ticket may be required.

I encountered this with altered .ja files in the built-in folder.
Any changes there perhaps?

For myself no .ja files have been altered but have down loaded various assets from the DLS. Could this in some way alter the files.

Not in my experience no. I am sure a more knowledgeable person than myself will assist you.

As it is now a serial number issue, your best recourse is to contact Helpdesk.

They have the ability to reissue, or even give an alternative serial number.

The other possibility is relating to the - marks.

just disconnect your internet
type your key and press add button
it will suerly works

Thank you Kamran that did the trick, lost a few assets though but at least its up and running.

The Same Problem is happening to me that I had on my Trainz. What English Characters anyway... This is ridiclous :/
